Cleaned up on 2003-09-09

Coming across your user page, I realized that you still haven't apologized for waging that personal crusade against me when I was a new user, accusing me of 'whitewashing every socialist in history' and disparaging me with all your choice insults. If you admit that the charges you conjured up were misguided, I could perhaps reconsider my negative opinion of you as a Wikipedia contributor. 172 06:56, 8 Aug 2003 (UTC)

I'll take a look at your current contributions to see whether you've improved any. As it stands, your combination of poor editing and personal narcissism make apology impossible. Anyone who claims to have "boundlessly improved" an article by injecting his own weird POV is going to get short shrift from anyone with sense. --Len.
Followup: you seem to have toned down the egotistical rhetoric considerably. Still rather POV and left-wing, but considerably less self-absorbed. If you are, then I'm ready to let bygones be bygones. Pax? --Len.

We don't need to be liked by everyone. So I'll accept the fact that your ideological worldview will always taint your perceptions of my contributions. Anyway, I gain enough solace from the respect that I have gained from many fellow professional academics on this site. 172 18:47, 9 Sep 2003 (EDT)

Mature answer, thanks. But don't misunderstand! A quick survey of your recent contributions suggests that you're making a positive contribution to the Wikipedia. So while I don't recant my objection to some of your previous submissions, that is not a blanket condemnation of your work. As for liking, I certainly don't dislike you. Our lives have intersected too little to have a strong opinion one way or the other. Pax. --Len.

Audio theatre an article to audio dramas

[edit]

Please if you have time and you know anything to it (I have seen that you have made edits in the article area which owns relations on it) , please look on the article Audio theatre, somebody placed a erase discussion on it. after we have had a merge discussion. It would be interesting what you would say to the merge and the delete discussion. And possibly it could help to contact other people that they should help also. )-: Merry Xmas --Soenke Rahn (talk) 13:35, 22 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:51, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
