Gamefaqs

[edit]

The reception section cites GameFAQs.com Top Ten lists, they are done by members of the forums, they really aren't from the site. They should be removed since it's a glorified forum post. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.120.97.180 (talk) 14:56, 11 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

All platforms

Was the hit detection rotton on all the versions for each console, or was it a problem for one particular version? --BlueNight 22:44, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The SNES version seems fine on hit detection. I actually have it. The controls are a lot worse than the hit detection,--Goodness Chicken 02:39, 29 December 2006 (UTC)Goodness Chicken[reply]

I've got it for Genesis and it seems fine too. Cfive 13:19, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I had it for the Mega Drive/Genesis and noticed nothing wrong with the hit detection when I played it back in the day. And I certainly haven't heard it being "notorious for being extremely frustrating for the player," until I read the wikipedia article. I've also never seen it in a "worst video games of all time" list. Also, the review cited is from 2003, and is hardly an accurate reflection of the game from a trusted review site. It was probably reviewed on some dodgy emulator. St4rdog 14:11, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Said review has since been removed. The game has appeared on a couple recent "worst video games" lists, though; GameTrailer's Top 10 Best and Worst Games of All Time is the most famous example. Judging by the comments I've heard about it, it's the ludicrous licensing idea that's the problem, not the actual gameplay or graphics.--Martin IIIa (talk) 05:08, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Shaq Fuboxart.JPG

[edit]

Image:Shaq Fuboxart.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

website to destroy

[edit]

wasent there a big thing were there was a website to destroy all shaq fu games, because it was that bad? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.196.148.204 (talk) 21:53, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes; the website shaq-fu.com seeks to destroy all copies of the game. This website in fact represents a large part of Shaq-fu's cultural legacy - a meme, a joke, rather than a lasting contribution to art or entertainment. Failure to mention the site is an omission and leaves the article fair and balanced enough to be uninformative. I plan to add a mention of it unless someone produces a counterargument in the next couple months. -npatchett —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.182.176.121 (talk) 23:48, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The website may represent a part of Shaq Fu's legacy, but that doesn't make it a significant part of it. It's just a lone joke website, one of millions found on the web. A reliable reference stating that Shaq Fu is a popular subject for internet jokes might be considered notable; a mentioning of shaq fu dot com - an individual website with no factual information on it - would be nothing more than spam.--Martin IIIa (talk) 04:51, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reception IGN Quote

[edit]

"light years beyond anything anyone would ever want to ever seen on the SNES"

This sentence seems gramatically wrong. Is there a citation available anywhere? I think it should read

"Light years beyond anything anyone would ever want to see on the SNES"

But I cant really edit it as it's a quote. So could we get a link to a citation please. 92.238.248.225 (talk) 21:05, 26 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What?

[edit]

"Due to the Game Boy's monochrome screen, the Game Boy version is in color." this sentence contradicts itself —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.225.18.205 (talk) 01:25, 26 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
