[edit]I see you added information about the pumping lemma and context free languages to this article. In the Hebrew language Wikipedia, the pumping lemma is also referred to as the Bar-Hillel lemma. Do you think it would be appropriate to add this information to either the Bar-Hillel article or the pumping lemma article? I don't know much about this science, but Bar-Hillel was my grandfather, and I like to maintain his article and link to it where appropriate. Thank you. --Woggly 07:45, 14 September 2005 (UTC)

Apology to Jogloran
[edit]I thought you might appreciate this personal apology from me. It's just that I did know everyone and did not appreciate unexpected company. People can drop in any time to the meetings, it is just that you have to expect lag time while the others are attending to business. At any event, I was rude, and I did not want you to have that impression of me should we deal with each other next time. Enoch has a lot of friends, and I should expect they pop up in many places. I would want you to be nice to my friends, so it's only right I be nice to you. Or at least civil. I wasn't. I was short and crabby. Sincerely, --EuropracBHIT 08:24, 19 February 2006 (UTC).

Jogloran,
it seems that the changes on December 15, 2005 were correct. Before, there was a simple typo: in the text you were talking about m rows and n columns, but in formulas you used r rows and s columns. On April 20, 2006 you have reverted the fix and reintroduced the typo. Would you like to go back and get rid of the typo?
- Replied on user page.
- Thanks for the responsivness. Now it looks way better. And now - oh, now I can notice more problems, although minor. :)
- Unconventional notations:
- This statistic Q is generally denoted by H (well, this is really minor).
- SSt or SST is generally used to denote Total variation (Sum of Squares). Your SSt is what often called Between-Group variation, the notations used for it are like SSB, SSbg, SSmodel? forgot...
- SSe or SSE is also taken: it is used for residual Error variation (aka not explained by model variation). Your SSe is actually a total variation, SSt would be appropriate here.
- In the case of non-parametric tests all the values are known: m groups of integers from 1 to n. Therefore SSe may be explicitly calculated: SSe = n(n+1)/12. This would bring the formula for Q to one of its traditional forms, 12SSbg/n(n+1).
- Statistics is not my major and I am not going to edit the page. I also cannot recommend good references (:. To you, I can mention, for example, this link: http://faculty.vassar.edu/lowry/ch15a.html. But this is, probably, not a proper reference for the page.

Proposed deletion of Homeopathic dilutions
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Homeopathic dilutions, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- Article appears to be original research/synthesis to advance a position
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}

Invitation
[edit]There is a backstage pass coming up to be followed by an editathon in the State Library of New South Wales on 23 November. This is the first time that an Australian cultural institution has opened its doors to us in this way and will be a special opportunity because the Library is providing: one of its best rooms; its expert curators (along with their expertise and their white gloves); a newly launched website (containing new resources); and of course, items from its collection (including rare and usually unavailable material) which we can look at, learn from, and use, to improve WP articles. For example, on the chosen topic (Australia and WWI), the Library holds many diaries and manuscripts from the period.
As you can see from the Library's project page, they have connected this editathon with their own work. They have already set out a wide range of resources to make things easier for us. Please sign up on the editathon project page if you can participate either online or in person with other Wikipedians. Hope to see you there! Lankiveil (speak to me) 12:24, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
