Upgrade needed

[edit]

This is a 2006 promotion that has not been maintained to FA standards. Some work should be undertaken to avoid a Featured article review:

  • There is uncited text and unattributed opinions, one sample only, that appears as original research: The popular legend that he attempted the ancient methods of flame gazing, water gazing or both simultaneously is based on a naive reading of his first two verses, which merely liken his efforts to those of the Delphic and Branchidic oracles. The first of these is reproduced at the bottom of this article and the second can be seen by visiting the relevant facsimile site ... and ... As well as being the subject of hundreds of books (both fiction and nonfiction), Nostradamus's life has been depicted in several films and videos, and his life and writings continue to be a subject of media interest. ... samples only.
  • Harvref errors, see Category:Harv and Sfn template errors

None of these issues have been addressed, so a WP:FAR is probably adviseable. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 22:22, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"Sources" and "Further reading"

[edit]

There is a confusion between the sections "Sources" and "Further reading". Some texts in "Sources" are rather "Further reading". What does "Sources" exactly mean ? Editions of Nostradamus' texts ? Marvoir (talk) 17:34, 26 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

"Prophetic powers" in the introduction

[edit]

SURELY you rework the introduction how are you gonna say "Academic sources reject the notion that Nostradamus had any genuine supernatural prophetic abilities" yeah ofc bc academic sources dont believe in magic. Surely just word it into something less obvious and less embarrassing. Doeze (talk) 01:57, 31 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
