WikiProject Shannara

[edit]

Hi Gary!

I noticed that you have made a lot of Shannara edits, and would like to know if you would like to join WikiProject Shannara, a WikiProject devoted to creating and improving Shannara-related articles. Thanks, Alex Nisnevich (talk) (03:20, 11 August 2005 (UTC)).[reply]

I was actually thinking of doing so when I got this message. What a lovely coincidence. Sure, I'd love to join the project. Gary_McEnroe | (talk) 16:11, 11 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! You can join here. --Alex Nisnevich (talk) 16:19, 11 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

Another Shannara-related question: Are User:Gary_McEnroe\Shannara_Druids and User:Gary_McEnroe/Grianne works in progress?

Yes, they are. I was about to put Shannara Druids onto a proper article actually, now that I've got quite a few of the Druids on it so far.Gary_McEnroe | (talk) 03:17, 14 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Just a suggestion: Maybe you should make User:Gary_McEnroe\Shannara_Druids a section of a larger article (Shannara druids), and have the larger article also include information about druids in general? -- Alex Nisnevich (talk) 03:19, 14 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
That's a good idea. On a tiny related note, I feel druids should begin with a capital letter i.e. Druids, seeing as that's how it's always spelled in the novels, so I was going to create the article Shannara Druids rather than Shannara druids.Gary_McEnroe | (talk) 03:24, 14 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Right. -- Alex Nisnevich (talk) 03:27, 14 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I shall get started on that tomorrow, as it is now the late hours of the morning here, and I need some shut-eye. Gary_McEnroe | (talk) 03:28, 14 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Just wondering, when do you think User:Gary_McEnroe/Shannara_Druids will be ready to be released on WIkipedia? -- Alex Nisnevich (talk) 21:06, 17 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I just need to do a few more things with it, it should be ready for tomorrow evening/Saturday morning. I've been busy getting prepared for starting college in about a week's time, or I'd have been done by now.Gary_McEnroe | (talk) 22:32, 18 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Urgh, once again I've misplaced my copies of Sword and Elfstones, so I won't be able to write up those parts of Shannara Druids. Apart from them, there's not much else that I need to add, so if I post Shannara Druids, you or someone else with a good recollection of what Allannon did in those books can add it to the article.Gary_McEnroe | (talk) 19:03, 21 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks!

[edit]

For your help with WikiProject Shannara, I hereby award you this WikiThanks award.

WikiProject Novels Roll Call

WikiProject Novels is currently holding a roll call, which we hope to have annually. Your username is listed on the members list, but we are unsure as to which editors are still active within the project. If you still consider yourself an active WP:Novels editor, please add your name back to the Active Members list. Also feel free to join any of our task forces and take a look at the project's Job Centre to get involved!

Next month we will begin the coordinator election selection process. We hope to have more involvement and input this time around! More news will be forthcoming. Thanks, everyone! María (habla conmigo) 16:16, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article Grianne Ohmsford has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no assertion of notability

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
