Aurora Province's dialect ????

[edit]

@FILWISE Aurora Province's dialect is Tayabas Tagalog???

Based on the geographic location of Aurora, I doubt it falls into the category of Tayabas Tagalog, which is coined solely for the province of Tayabas (see study of Manuel for Tayabas Tagalog and other local studies in the region). And also, based on its geographic location and demographic population, Aurora has a strong influence from Ilokano, so I doubt that the province is culturally southern.

Due to the heavy influence of the northern population in the province, it is correct to assume that Aurora is northern culturally since it is culturally isolated from the southern region. Assuming that they are Southern is incorrect without proper basis and study on the matter. Quezon, on the other hand, is purely southern, with almost no presence of northern influence.

@FILWISE These two sources, which you included on the Quezon and Aurora pages, are unreliable. It appears to be copied and pasted, but it also appears to be related only to Baler. These references that you recently added are dubious because their content is exactly the same. It is hard to determine which of them is the original and how legitimate the sources are.  https://www.oocities.org/josephisdead/dictionary.htm https://agbasinillo.wordpress.com/2008/03/22/mga-lipi-ng-salitang-tagalog-ng-taga-quezon/ Liray70 (talk) 13:38, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
