would saying that most otherkin suffer from mental problems not also be NPOV? why not just erase that, we know they arent crazy, and tho theres no text to back it up., if you ve met a lot of them ( as so you have said) youll see my point.

Saying that "most" otherkin suffer from mental problems would not be NPOV, but that is not what the article is saying.

"While it is true that some otherkin experience mental illness, a number of otherkin carry on stable, functional lives...."

It says "some," not "most." I have been involved in a number of edits surrounding these sentences. There might be a better way to say these things, but for right now, it seems as neutral as can be. I disagree when you say "we know they aren't crazy." You're neglecting the fact that they suffer from the same problems as any other person, no matter how special they claim to be. I am a therianthrope myself, but I see that a lot of otherkin and therians have mental problems. I would rather say that they DO have problems more than they don't, because it's been what I've seen in real life and on the net, but I think it's more responsible to keep the article NPOV, while still mentioning the "controversy" and both sides of it.Putrescent stench 06:49, 24 Apr 2005 (UTC)

this is gonna make me sound nuts iun your eyes, but ive been around for a very very lobng time, several thousand years actually, and the otherkin community has been constant, just not under that name, most of the, like most people, are functional, normal people, though some have problems acceoptiung the truths they ind, and still others have problems with thier minds from abuse they recieved from what i can only call unenlightneed people.( without resorting to rudeness at any rate) perhaps this ould be a better way o saying it (and yes i was tired before my coffee, i changed it without thinking about it) Gabrielsimon 12:27, 25 Apr 2005 (UTC)
