Formatting errors

[edit]

Could someone please assist with the formatting of this page? I'm not sure exactly what is wrong here, but this template is causing quite significant formatting errors for content below it when transcluded. There are endless examples, but I intially came across this issue at the following pages: User talk:Neopeius, User talk:MykReeve, User talk:Mattflaschen – see the section headers. Thanks, 72 (talk) 16:18, 4 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Just noting here that I seem to have fixed this issue – it was simpler than I thought, so I'm surprised this wasn't spotted earlier. Pinging @Neopeius: just to let you know, the formatting issue at your talk page was due to this template ({{Opentask}}) that your removed in this edit. If you did actually want to keep that message and you want to restore it, the issue shouldn't persist. 72 (talk) 16:53, 6 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 18 March 2022

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: Move proposal succeeded. The move proposal succeeded. But I'm not moving it just yet, due to bot considerations. Any editor (involved/uninvolved in this RM) should feel free to move the page per proposal, once the required changes are done. Wikipedia:Community portal/OpentaskWikipedia:Community portal/Open tasks – Clearer title. Note: should not be moved before User:SuggestBot’s code is changed (I can do that after this is closed). 🐶 EpicPupper (he/him | talk) 04:57, 18 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I don't have strong opinions about this. You might've already looked at SuggestBot's code, it's a one-line change in the configuration to change the page it edits. I suspect this proposal will go through, at which point I can stop the bot from editing the page so we can get the move done. Cheers, Nettrom (talk) 14:43, 19 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Support per nom. Opentask is clearly not one word. Gonnym (talk) 11:59, 20 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Here's the good suggestion!

Propose changing the link for link fixing Learn how from Help:Wikitext to either Help:Wikitext#Wikilinks or Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Linking.

And here's the potentially bad suggestion where I completely understand if you don't do it, as navigating categories can be confusing.

Also propose to change the More... link from Fix wikilinks from Category:All_articles_with_too_few_wikilinks to Category:Wikipedia_links. IHaveAVest (talk) 13:32, 20 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Partly done: Ive gone ahead and updated the Learn how link, but I agree it may be a bit confusing for newer people if the More... linked to a category of categories, so ive left that unchanged. Thanks for the suggestion. Aidan9382 (talk) 06:59, 29 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Category:All articles with too few wikilinks and Category:Articles with too many wikilinks are often empty these days. Can @SuggestBot draw tasks from Category:Wikipedia red link cleanup to fill up the "Fix wikilinks" section, please? Thanks. --PFHLai (talk) 22:58, 5 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @PFHLai, sorry I didn’t see this sooner! I noticed the issue with the empty categories a little while ago when working on updating the translation categories per this thread on my talk page. Since that red link cleanup category has subcategories, I’m not sure if it’ll work. If there was a “All articles needing red link cleanup” category, adding it would be trivial. I’ll make a note to take a closer look at this and see what I can do. Cheers, Nettrom (talk) 17:34, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
