History

[edit]

Replying to your tag, yes I think the present History section could be lifted out and made into a strong page on its own, if you added some more detail about U.S. Grant's Vicksburg campaign - the biggest thing that most people think of in connection with the city. An abbreviated version of that page could then form the History section of the current article. Valetude (talk) 22:39, 3 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Valetude what's the status of this? A. C. Santacruz Talk 14:16, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No status from my end, as I've not committed to the re-editing. I think it needs an editor who knows more about Vicksburg, to confirm the accuracy of the text as a whole (not just Civil War) and judge the relative emphasis of the points. Valetude (talk) 11:25, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I have made a new page to fulfill your suggestion, not entirely sure how to proceed https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=History_of_Vicksburg%2C_Mississippi&redirect=no Saussure4661 (talk) 21:13, 24 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Geography

[edit]

Turn by turn descriptions of routes of the highways and the existence of interchanges is not geography. Recommend deleting these and adding more about the rivers and other geographic features Jackieabroad (talk) 07:27, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
