Titor

[edit]

Please take a look at the discussion again. I added a picture that maps the way I read Titor in the ITR logo. I know it is speculative. But it's fun to wonder how the hoax came about. Linking the fictitious name to real things might lead us to the story teller. Onnozele (talk) 20:45, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please unblock my IP

Request reason:

Caught by a colocation web host block but this host or IP is not a web host. My IP address is 208.87.236.201. I am a human using Verizon FiOS as my ISP, but using a work computer that has ForcePoint web proxy in place. --Rpresser 20:47, 28 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

It is not permitted to edit via a proxy or VPN, if your work is unable to turn it off, you will have to confine your editing to other locations. 331dot (talk) 22:02, 28 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

@331dot: If Rpresser is unable to edit from work due their network employing a web proxy, they can be granted IPBE. The only requirement is that they be a trusted user (and that a CU be consulted). See the "who may request" section of WP:IPECPROXY.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 22:08, 28 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
So, Rpresser, are you only able to edit at work? 331dot (talk) 22:17, 28 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. At the moment, I am able to edit from my phone (much less comfortable) and my work laptop, which applies this proxy no matter what ISP I am connecting throught. So I do have *options*, but the IPBE makes it more comfortable. --Rpresser 15:56, 1 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I apologize to you, as I was working from an out of date set of assumptions about situations like this. Others have clarified this for me, and I regret causing you difficulty. 331dot (talk) 15:57, 1 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
