Aleksandr Ptushko

[edit]

Hello.

I've spent most of the past day creating a full article on Aleksandr Ptushko, though I have little with which to work other than Alan Upchurch's articles from Video Watchdog.

I noticed that you've included some detailed information about him in your History of Russian animation page. If you'd care to help expand the page on Ptushko, or at least point me in the direction of some sources in English, I'd be very grateful.

Languages box

[edit]

Hello timo, I was just wondering if you could put up a language box on your user page so that we know which ones you understand (look at my own page for how to do this - it's quite easy to figure out). Thanks. :) Esn 21:02, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image

[edit]

I'm sorry, but I just have to ask. Are you sure that this image is actually from the film The Humpacked Horse by Ivan Ivanov-Vano? The thing is, I've seen the 1947 film and there's no image that's like it. There's a scene which resembles it, but that exact image isn't seen anywhere. I don't think it's the 1975 version either - it just doesn't fit with its art style. Could this be perhaps either concept art from the film or from another work entirely? And could I know where you found the image? Esn 08:39, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi ESN, the image is a production sketch, not a filmstill. It's scanned from Ivanov-Vano's autobiography Кадр за кадром. timo 08:12, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for getting back to me. :) I've updated the information on the image now. By the way, you may already know about this, but if not you may be interested: I think a lot of Russia's leading animators/directors can be found online at places like this (there are also some similar groups, including one dedicated to Norshteyn). Through a quick glance, I already found Mikhail Tyumelya (who made The Magic Pipe). Esn 09:56, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Hunchbackedlittlehorse.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Hunchbackedlittlehorse.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 16:45, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Nu pogodi by vjacheslav kotenochkin.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Nu pogodi by vjacheslav kotenochkin.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 15:17, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Roses for Stalin by Vladimirskij.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Roses for Stalin by Vladimirskij.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast (talk) 18:09, 30 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
