Athletics section

I removed the "Athletics" section because it only dealt with GWHS and was not NPOV ThunderE6 01:09, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

History of Danville

[edit]

This section probably should be spun off as a separate article, with a relatively brief summary in the main article about Danville. (See WP:SS). -- John Broughton (♫♫) 13:48, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The city of Danville was formerly part of Pittsylvania County. That is not mentioned in this article or in the one about the said county. Perhaps the people writing these articles thought that was obvious enough from the map, which I concede. Yet the date and circumstances of the separation belong to any discussion of the history of the area. Walter Turner 2003:E4:FBCE:3222:3DDD:B0F8:B20D:E2BD (talk) 13:55, 27 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Danville Girl

[edit]

Is this the Danville Woody Guthrie sang about in 'Danville Girl'? There are a dozen or more Danvilles in the US! Air (talk) 18:40, 1 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

American Armored Foundation Tank Museum

[edit]

Nothing about it. Wrong Danville? Not notable enough? Dissolved?

I checked now: closed around July 2023. The Covid crisis led to bankruptcy (see here, Chatham Star Tribune, "Tank museum closure ‘a sad loss for our area’" by William James Smith, Danville, July 19, 2023). Maybe still worth a mention?
