Orphaned references in Trans-Canada Air Lines

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Trans-Canada Air Lines's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "fleet":

  • From Air Canada: Air Canada/Air Canada Jazz fleet Date accessed: 18 February 2009
  • From Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport: Hélibellule fleet
  • From Montreal: "Hélibellule fleet". Helibellule.ca. Retrieved 2009-09-01.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 16:34, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of "Surviving aircraft" section

[edit]

I have reinstated the "Surviving aircraft" section and re-titled it "Aircraft on display". Pages about particular aircraft have an "Aircraft on display" section, so I don't see why an airline page shouldn't also have this section; especially an airline that no longer exists. This has been raised at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Airlines#Surviving Aircraft. MilborneOne (talk) 20:31, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Discrepancy about number of Vickers Vanguard airliners

[edit]

This article shows over 100 Vanguards in service with TCA. The article on the Vanguards states only 44 were ever built, and these were used by three different airlines.Ricgal (talk) 11:00, 19 April 2018 (UTC) Ricgal (talk) 11:00, 19 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Merging

[edit]

This article should be merged with Air Canada. In 1965, only the name was changed. Does this warrant having separate articles? Benboy250 (talk) 01:55, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose - the Air Canada article is already quite long and I think it might be useful to keep the pre 1965 history in the TCA article. --Wtshymanski (talk) 17:38, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
