    This page is NOT for challenging the outcome of deletion discussions or to address the pending deletion of any page.
    Shortcuts

    Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in two cases. The first case is restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions (G6) or stale Articles for creation drafts (G13)), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. In the second use case, this page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be "userfied", i.e., restored as a draft or emailed to you; this way, the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here).

    This means that content deleted after discussion – through deletion processes – may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process but through deletion review instead. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided.

    Do not request that pages deleted under speedy deletion criteria F7, F9, F11, U5, A7, A9, A11, G3, G4, G10, G11 or G12 be undeleted here.

    Collins House and Granary[edit]

    Siege of Maghas[edit]

    An article by this title was deleted after an AFD in October 2023. Both a draft and an article, which are almost identical, have now been created. Please restore the deleted article in my user space or in an email, so that I can compare the new article against the deleted article and determine whether the new article should be kept, or tagged as G4.     • Thank you, User:Graeme Bartlett. That takes care of the article. I am not requesting that the draft be restored, but the originator may likely request its restoration, because the AFD only calls for the deletion of the article, not of the draft. The originator obviously has a copy of the deleted article, and can restore it in draft, and then try to improve it by providing better sources.     Another AFC project that pre-dated my current queue, this page concerns the first film ever produced by Trinidad and Tobago. Deleted back in late 2022 due to lack of time/commitment/resources on my end (I only had a Galaxy Tab whose space was getting cramped at the time); yearning to get that finished sometime between July and August. There is only routine coverage and not significant coverage on this this football series as a rivalry, or of the trophy (as explained in the AFD that closed just a few hours ago), and no expectation that this will change.       I disagree that there is not significant coverage of the trophy; I added 5 sources to the AFD after only a brief search. In any case, this undeletion is only asking for a draft.     PK-WIKI, those five sources you presented at the AfD were duly reviewed by participants, and unanimously deemed insufficient for establishing notability per WP:NRIVALRY. That AfD was closed four days after you presented those sources, and your claim received zero support, and one detailed rejection by Frank Anchor, whose experience at source analysis is equalled by very few.
    Your request here is essentially a DRV appeal masquerading as a request for uncontested draftification. If you had sources beyond the five that were reviewed and rejected at the AfD, you would have likely mentioned them already. If you don't, and believe the AfD was closed incorrectly, then take this to WP:DRV, rather than try to sneak the page back into existence through draftspace. Owen× ☎ 11:24, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
    @OwenX My request here is for a Draftified version of a page that was deleted with no BLP concerns, no sensitive issues, no copyrighted content. This should be uncontroversial and is an intended use of the WP:UND process. I was not the article creator, and came to that AFD ready to vote delete, but after learning there was a trophy I easily found 5 sources in my brief search. I assume there are more pieces of significant coverage from reliable sources, and would like to expand the article in draftspace to improve this encyclopedia.     PK-WIKI, the purpose of undeletion-to-draft is so that sourcing can be improved to meet our guidelines. But the sources you presented have already been reviewed, and found insufficient. You are not planning to improve sourcing beyond what you presented at the AfD. You simply disagree with the determination that the sources presented are insufficient. That is not what draftification/userfication are for. You assuming there are more sources is neither here nor there. You don't need the article sitting in draftspace to search for more sources. Expanding the article, as you offered, will not help; we need better sourcing. If you do find better sources, please ping Frank Anchor to review, and if he finds them sufficient, I will carry out the draftification myself, without the need for you to go through REFUND.     @OwenX I am planning to improve the sourcing beyond what I presented at the AfD, that's the entire point of this undeletion request and what I stated in the original post. I would like to add these new sources to the Draft or Userspace article over the coming weeks and months, as I find them. I don't particularly disagree with the AfD outcome, which is why I did't bring this to DRV. Deleting it is fine and I'm not contesting the deletion. I don't find pinging non-admin user Frank Anchor and hoping he approves my sources to be a particularly compelling resolution, or rooted in policy, as he is clearly far on the side of deletion and has already out of hand suggested five good sources about the trophy are merely routine coverage. He has also been so far too myopic about the notability of the *rivalry* and not of the notability of the trophy itself. Restoration of a userspace draft is a fine compromise here, and I will ping both of you when I have added enough new significant coverage to bring it back to mainspace.     Please note that I do not consider moving to draft space to be a fine compromise based on there only being routine coverage of the rivalry and trophy presented at the AFD and with routine and/or primary being the exclusive contents of the first few pages of a Google search of the trophy. Since REFUND is not AFD round 2, I will limit my comments to responding to the false claims made by PK-WIKI above, while noting that neither myself nor other "delete" voters changed their opinion in the several days between the sources being posted and the AFD closing were convinced these sources were appropriate.     Note that I suggested a userspace draft as a compromise, as opposed to the mainspace draft I was originally requesting. Also note that the involved user here was the only other user to respond after I posted my Keep/Rename vote in the AFD, before it was closed, so we have no idea if the other "delete" voters changed their opinion in the several days between the sources being posted and the AFD closing were convinced these sources were appropriate. We don't know if a single other user has even seen those sources.
    It's unclear to me why this Draftification / User-Draftification is controversial at all. The deleted page has no BLP concerns, no copyright issues, nothing sensitive about it at all. The significant coverage of the awarding of the physical trophy + the sources I already provided show the article is close to meeting GNG, even if you contend that it currently does not.
    I simply want a user draft version of the page + history to inspect its existing sources, add the ones I posted to the AFD, and add additional significant coverage as I find it in my List of Big Ten Conference football rivalry games trophy research. This is a perfectly valid request at this venue in our efforts to WP:IMPROVEIT.

    You accusation is unfounded. Frank Anchor is not on any "side". He reviews the sources and makes an objective determination based on guidelines and best practices. He'd be happy to recommend undeletion if he were to see sources supporting notability. So far, you've alluded to the existence of such sources, without showing us a single one. I still don't see why you need the draft to find such sources.
    As I mentioned above, the AfD was open for four days after you presented your sources there. The fact that only one participant chose to respond to you is neither here nor there. No one is obliged to come back and refute every new argument you make on an AfD.
    Your proposed "fine compromise" is no compromise at all, and has already been correctly rejected by the attending admin here. It is clear to anyone reading this exchange that your intention was to add your five sources, make some token content changes, move the draft back to mainspace, and hope the next AfD goes your way.     Your last scenario was honestly, truly, never my intention. I would expect that page in mainspace to be speedily deleted under WP:G4, wasting myself and everyone else's time. This is not an attempt to game the system. I have brought several college football rivalry articles to WP:GA status, so I fully understand what kind of reliable sources and significant coverage we need for this article and am asking for the userspace draft in WP:GOODFAITH to use as the outline of my research.     I took a break from compiling information on the draft page due to some personal obstacles with school and other professional work. I came back and all of my work was gone. I do not have an interest in using this entry for advertising purposes, but rather to fill a void objectively analyzing the epistemologies of the philosophies often presented within this group.

    I have many reliable sources to fortify this article if you all are gracious enough to extend me the opportunity to finish my work. I have many years of formal interdisciplinary scholarly research credentials and will add quality and peer-reviewed information to supposition all claims outside direct gathering of primary evidence.

    If all else fails, I would still like a copy of this work sent to me personally. There is much research I have lost given this article's deletion.

    I would like to object to the deletion on the basis that every One-Day International between 1971 (the first ODI) and 2004 is, as far as I'm aware, retained on Wikipedia. Under Wikipedia's rules, every ODI is notable, whether it be ENG v AUS at Lord's or IND v PAK at Sharjah, or even Ireland's ODIs in Dublin. No matter how obscure, Wiki generally has a page or at least a space within a page for every ODI. There is no reason why this one-off AUS v PAK ODI at Lord's should be deleted.
