Brit AwardsBRIT Awards – The correct title for the awards is spelled with captial letters and is written this way throughout the article Shanarm (talk) 12:20, 26 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Most successful acts

[edit]

Awards won in a band/group should not be added to an individual's tally, otherwise all the individual members of Spice Girls, Take That, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, The Beatles, One Direction and et cetera...would be on here as well. So I propose the following changes:

1. Robbie Williams should have 13 awards only
2. Harry Styles won 1 individual award - remove
3. George Michael won 2 individual awards - remove
4. Freddie Mercury won 2 individual awards - remove
5. Dave Grohl won 0 individual award - remove
6. Beyonce should have 2 awards only

British Rock & Pop Awards were The Brits in all but name

[edit]

The British Rock & Pop Awards (1979 - 1981) had a Fairs Cup/UEFA Cup type relationship with the Brit Awards. (i.e they were essentially the same thing but not officially and often took place in the stated absence of The Brits in some years). Music enthusiasts probably can't recall which one they were watching in roughly the same TV slot and format each year - https://musicforstowaways.wordpress.com/2014/10/10/british-rock-pop-awards-1979-1981/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.99.210.174 (talk) 14:13, 4 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
