Hoover

[edit]

I've removed an apparently spurious claim that Bush was a "close advisor to Herbert Hoover" as I have been unable to substantiate it; none of Hoover's biographies mention him, and it appears other than the Munitions Board, his closest connection to federal service was as a member of the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. If a proper source for this claim is found, it can be returned to the article. --Dhartung | Talk 05:12, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nye Commission

[edit]

I've been looking for a long time to determine if there is a direct, citeable connection between Bush and the Nye Commission, to justify the paragraph that's been in this article for some time. I have found none. The report itself does not mention Bush; Baruch; the War Industries Board; or even Remington, the company cited as a conflict of interest. The report was about the politics of the run-up to the war, and Bush served on a board created late in the war. I believe the inclusion of the section about the Nye Commission to be original research and unsupported by anything concrete; it's just there to get some political digs in, so I'm removing it. -- Dhartung | Talk 08:45, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

To add a colorized picture to Wikipedia.

[edit]

I am wondering if it is ok to replace or add to current picture with a colorized picture. My son tried to edit and replaced with a different picture but gave credit to the source. And his account was blocked. Can I request not to block my account. Additionally, if there is information that is incorrect, is it ok to change it? Barkaata (talk) 17:55, 1 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
